TENUTA “BOCCA DI LUPO” - TORMARESCA

The Tormaresca estate represents the Apulian face of the historic Tuscan company Antinori. The image of the factory is similar to an ancient fortified farmhouse, lined, on the ground floor, with burst bolognini handcrafted from “bronzetto” stone from Minervino Murge.

This cladding, though simple in appearance, is made up of special pieces: the bolognini have trapezoidal cross-sections so as to promote upward tapering; at architectural holes there are “C”-shaped pieces; in addition, in the masonry flap at louvers and windows, the finish is dotted.
At the base of this stone facade is a plinth with a piconed finish of the same material.
The main entrance portal consists of three elements made of Poggiorsini mélange stone: the two vertical elements and the segmental arch in a single block.

The exterior provision is concluded with crowning elements with bullnose profile in the facade; paving in point-worked paving in and curbs.

Inside, customers have opted for the rooms open to the public, including the cooperage that houses the Marchesi Antinori family’s fine wines, an antiqued Minervino Murge stone floor with a bush-hammered brushed finish; the same, with ad hoc shaped pieces, covers the spiral staircase.

On the second floor we again find Poggiorsini mélange stone, but this time in the Doric columns; here there is a fireplace in the same hues but in red breccia from Castel del Monte.
Portals in white Minervino stone face the inner courtyard.
